Shows an LED Distributor Trigger unit with three wires indicating a Square wave unit

 

The trigger has to be a Square wave unit to work with the MSD controller. Make sure there are three wires out of the unit. The regular optical trigger uses a sine wave so only has two wires to connect. A sine wave will not trigger the MSD controller. It must be a Square wave type with three wires. I got this one at Summit but I am not sure if it is a stock item or I'm thinking you will need to order it.
